The Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri J.P. Nadda and the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti laid the foundation stone for the new Medical College, at Rajouri, in Jammu and Kashmir on April 15, 2016.
The Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C), Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh is also seen.
Total three medical colleges will be opened at Anantnag, Rajouri and Baramula. Each will have 100 M.B.B.S. seat along with 300 bed Hospital.

As a part of all around development by PM Modi and his Team State of Jammu & Kashmir got the new medical college. Which will surely boost the health care sector in the region.
Ground level development and infrastructure improvement is very much need of the hour to stabilize the unrest in the region.
