Looks like it is not all Twitter, Facebook and Instagram that’s now-gen has a taken a shine to. After all they all egged UC Browser, a product of the Alibaba Group, to cross 400 million MAU (Monthly Active User) mark worldwide, making it as No.1 in Asia and No.2 browser worldwide, as per StatCounter .
It means UC, in operation since 2004,is now preferred over Chrome when it comes to mobile browser and it did so by covering more than 30% monthly PV market share in the 1st quarter 2016 in Asia, according to StatCounter.
UC specially comes useful in emerging markets where network is not perfect like in India, Indonesia and Russia to provide for better browsing services through its cloud acceleration and data compression technology.Expressing his delight, Kenny Ye, GM of Global Markets, Alibaba mobile business group said, “We are devoted to offering curated local content and serving as the first window to the glorious world of internet for hundreds and millions of people around the globe.
