Last Date for online application for Pre and Post Matric Scholarships for Minority Students extended 31st August 2016 for the academic year 2016-17
Students of Class I-XII can apply online their application for the scholarship till 31st August 2016.
This is a central sector scheme with 100% central funding. Students with 50% or more marks obtained in previous final exam and net family annual income not exceeding Rupees 1Lakh.
Scholarship will be provided to the students from minority communities viz. Muslim,Christian,Sikhs,Buddhist,Persis and Jains.
All together 327088 scholarships are available for 2016-17 for the students of West Bengal minorities communities. Out of this 313442 are for Muslims ,7980 for Christians,1028 Sikh,3770 Buddhist,855 Jains and 18 Persis are also to be awarded.
In Tripura total number of scholarship is 7100 out of which 3942 is for Muslims,1588 for Christians & 1532 for Buddhist,18 for Sikhs , 7 Jains & 13 Persis.
