This Free Eye Check-up was organised on invitation from The Art of Living. This was arranged at the beautiful hall of ‘Temple of Knowledge’, This Free Eye Check-up was organised on invitation from The Art of Living. This was arranged at the beautiful hall of ‘Temple of Knowledge’, the place is located at Nazirabad, North 24-Parganas.With their own infrastructure they organised General Health Check-up. Besides General Health, they served Women for Gynecological problems and provided treatment for Child Health.
They invited us for the support for Eye Check-up.Doctors who rendered Medical Services were Dr A K Srivastava, Dr E Aravinda Sesha and Dr R N Singh. They are devotees of Art of Living.As usual Shri Anup Agarwal donated all Medicines required for the Health and Eye Check-up and distributed to all since morning.
Shri Alok Paliwal and Shri Anup Agarwal donated Spectacles for the Camp patients.12nos. of Identified Cataract Patients will have Free Inter Ocular Lens (IOL) Surgery at the Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Salt Lake. In addition to Cataract Surgery patients 2 persons was referred to the Hospital for other Eye ailment and treatment.
A team from our Club lead by Rtn Jnan Ghosh, other Rotarians joined were viz IPP Rajat Maitra, Priyanka Mukherjee and Bibek Kundu and supported by a Non-Rotarian volunteers viz Shri Sanjib Biswas of IB Block, Salt Lake. Since it was located at a very odd place where no public transport is available, Rtn Bibek has to provide ferry service by personal car from Camp site to Rubi Hospital crossing.
Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre provided support for Eye Check-up, The team was lead by Smt Malabika Biswas and supported by 3 Optometrists.Snacks were served to the Rotarians, Volunteers and the Medical Team by the organiser. The team of Art of Living joined together during the lunch time with all. The Camp started at around 11-30hrs and continued till 15-30hrs.
