We all know how it affects the life when you have Chronic Respiratory Disease specially COPD and Asthma for the paitents and there near ones.

A session with the gurus of the Respiratory Medication meet at an press conference at Kolkata to explain how it is going to be managed with modern drugs and technique.

Prof Dr. AG Ghosal,National Allergy Asthma Bronchitis Institute, Dr. Raja Dhar, Consultant, Fortis Hospital Anandapur,Dr. Pallab Chatterjee, Paediatrician, Columbia Asia, Apollo Glenegles, Bhagirathi Neotia, RNT, Medica & Fortis along with Dr. Jaideep Gogtay, Chief Medical Officer at Cipla made the afternoon an informative one.

How the kids and their parent must understand the symptoms of Asthma in early stages Dr. Pallab Chatterjee explained in common man’s word while Dr. Raja and Prof Ghosal added how to follow up them in the next stage of their life and manage adult medication.

They aslo explained how social stigma and mental blockage is affecting the detection of Asthma in early stages.

They all insisted the use of inhalers as one of the most effective yet less in drugs content method of treatment. However people raised concern about the addiction to inhalers but doctors said not at all it is bad and not addictive as well.

Even people suffering of these diseases can live life with an effective medication with out any barrier. 

The statistical data and clinical study for Asia Pacific Region was explained and why the trigger for cough and cold in Indian sub continent is mostly due to temperature mostly was explained by Dr. Raja Dhar.
