Miss World Deft 2019 Attended Annual Event of Decibel Hearing Clinic
Loss of hearing power can be a difficult situation for any individual. But specially in case of children this can impact overall development and learning process. Studies say that about 40% of young adults with hearing loss identified during childhood reported experiencing at least one limitation in daily functioning.

Every year, as a tradition Decibel Hearing Clinic organize annual function for their younger patient to celebrate the spirit of listening. This year the annual function took place on 28th Dec’19. The attraction for the event was Miss Vidisha Baliyan (Miss World 2019 Deaf). Miss Vidisha Baliyan is shining example of turning disability into ability and aspires to achieve greater heights. She seems to achieve the dreams which she aspired as a child along with her family. She represented the country in World Deaf Olympics 2017. She became the first India to win the title of Miss World Deaf 2019 this year. She also received National award under the category “Role Model Hearing Impairment (Female) 2019”. During the event Miss Vidisha Baliyan, shared her story as hearing impaired with children & parents and motivated them to dream big.
This year the event was celebrated in association with Phonak. Phonak is a Swiss organization which is committed to make best in class hearing care more accessible to everyone. Phonak has dedicated portfolio for pediatric patient.
While sharing the experiences of the event parents of hearing impaired children’s shared that with proper counseling and technologically advanced hearing devices their children now living life to normal and confidently interacting with the world.
