KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club midfielder Jamal Bhuyan repeated the same statement as Head Coach Jose Hevia before Black Panthers’ first match in 2020/21 Hero I-League against Sudeva Delhi FC on Saturday.
Saying that the most important thing is to play a collective block and not focus on individualities. According to Jamal they will attack together and defend together to defeat an young and talented Sudeva team.
Jamal doesn’t overestimate his team but he is confident because he knows they are good and they will play with the same commitment they had when they locked horns with Sudeva.
“We are a team and we share a common goal. We know our responsibility is to win and bring glory to the club. We had a good time in our preparations. We have a strong squad of humble and dedicated players. We have mixed well and are all ready for tomorrow.” said Jamal.
“We need to focus on the duties our coach give us, either in attacking or defending situations. We have to work together. If we are able to do this according to our plan, we can get a positive result. The first and foremost thing is to improve as a team and as an individual. Results of a match always matter but we must focus on our performance primarily,” he added.
