Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee welcomes newly-elected MLAs
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today welcomed the newly-elected MLAs to the Vidhan Sabha after the 2016 Assembly election.
She exhorted everyone to engage in constructive discussions in the Assembly. “We must leave behind a legacy. Let us work for making Bengal the best in the world,” she said.
She also said that her Government stands for administrative, electoral and economic reforms, and further, that it wants State-funded elections.
The Chief Minister ended her welcome speech thus: “I want to thank the Ma-Mati-Manush of Bengal.”
