West Bengal scouts its top 3 girls and Tripura gets its winner at the fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018
They are gratified with a golden ticket to the East Zonal
crowning ceremony in Kolkata on 22nd March, 2018.
Kolkata, 19th March, 2018: India’s most exciting, glamorous and credible beauty pageant is here and commenced its talent hunt at the fbb / Big Bazaar store at Shakespeare Point, Kolkata. The auditions received an overwhelming response and large crowds cheered over 150 contestants participating from all parts of the state. The auditions were judged by Shivankita Dixit, fbb Colors Femina Miss India West Bengal 2018; Abhishek Roy, Designer and Rachel White, Model.
Continuing the same format this year, Miss India in its 55th edition will be touring to all 30 states (including Delhi) of the nation and to crown 30 state representatives who will then compete for the coveted Miss India crown. The top 3 of West Bengal as well as the winner of Tripura will proceed to the East zonal crowning ceremony to be held in Kolkata at Hotel Swissotel on 22nd March, 2018. The store manager handed over a bouquet of flowers to the top 3 of West Bengal as well as the winner of Tripura. At Kolkata, the most deserving candidate from each of the 13 states i.e. Miss India Chhattisgarh, Miss India Bihar, Miss India Jharkhand, Miss India Odisha, Miss India Sikkim, Miss India Assam, Miss India Mizoram, Miss India Tripura, Miss India Nagaland, Miss India Meghalaya, Miss India Arunachal Pradesh, Miss India Manipur, Miss India West Bengal will represent their state at the grand finale which is going to be held in Mumbai in June.

For the second time, the pageant will host mentors for each zone who will guide the contestants to merit. To take charge of the proceeding for the East Zone we have none other than the Femina Miss India 2009 and Bollywood Actress who will be seen acting opposite Siddharth Malhotra in the movie Aiyaari, Pooja Chopra who not only has won the Beauty with a Purpose award at Miss World 2009 but also has 8 national and international titles in a single year.
She enthusiastically quoted, “I feel elated to be a mentor where I can value add on for the contestants. It takes me back in time and I am looking forward to this journey to bring in my finest for everyone”.
