State Govt to create 1,220 posts
At a recent Cabinet meeting, the Bengal Government decided to create 1,220 posts for various categories of jobs.
Five investigation centres for crimes against women would employ 94 people. Three new police stations – Narendrapur, Palashipara and Tamna – would employ 52, 37 and 42 personnel, respectively.
Fifteen posts would be created after the upgrading of the 60-bedded Kotalpur Hospital in Bishnupur to an 80-bedded one. Territory care cancer centres will come up at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital and Sagar Dutta Hospital, for which a total of 35 posts would be created. Twenty more posts have been created for the critical care unit in Frazerganj.
Besides these, many drivers for vehicles employed by the various departments and Karmabandhus (sweepers) would be given employment.
