Union HRD minister Shri Prakash Javadekar was at Kolkata on Saturday and explaining the 48 months of good governance. He said the Centre is looking at a ‘long-term’ solution for the rise in petrol and diesel prices, he also said states also have to be a part for the solution on their tax implications.

Deregulation of petrol and diesel happened during the rule of the Congress-led UPA government, he mentioned.

“Government is working on a long-term solution with states. They are also equal stakeholders. They also levy their taxes and therefore all have to work together to come out with a solution,” HRD minister Javadekar told reporters in Pune.

Now, the prices are subject to revision under free-market system and done by Oil companies.

On June 16 last year, oil companies decided to revise prices on a daily basis, instead of every fortnight, as per international practice.

He also attacked the TMC and their goons for Purulia murder and recent political murder. Even he condemn the attack on the press.

He circulated the details of the pro-people developments along with Direct Benefit Transfer, Ujala, LED lamp and many such projects taken by the government under Modi leadership.
