APRIL 19th, 2018: Bollywood Presents – Kent Cricket Live on Star Jalsha Movies was abuzz with excitement on the 18th of April 2018 showcasing Bengal’s T-Town Heartthrob, Jishu. The superstar, along with many other prominent commentators, joined the commentary panel for the day’s VIVO IPL match, took the time out to share his love for cricket and the IPL. He spoke of his relationship with Sourav Ganguly and his unwavering support for the Kolkata Knight Riders Team, exclusively on Kent Cricket Live aired on Star Jalsha movies ahead of KKR’s game against Rajasthan Royals. Star Jalsha Movies is the official destination for VIVO IPL 2018 broadcast in Bengali.

Jishu, who is one of the most popular T-Town celebrities from Bengal is a film actor, producer and television presenter who has become extremely popular in the Bengali and Hindi Film Industry for his astounding roles and exceptional acting skills.

When asked about which cricketing personality he would love to play in a Biopic, Jishu said” If I want to play someone, that would be none other than Sourav Ganguly, because he’s from Bengal and I’m a Bengali. I have known him for ages now. When he was going to England to represent India in 1996, I used to go and bowl to him in the nets, so I would love to play him.”

Jishu not only loves cricket but also is an exceptional cricketer himself. He had represented India in a few sub junior games during his early days.

Jishu expressed his enthusiasm for VIVO IPL and KKR by saying “I have a small theatre on my terrace and me and all my friends enjoy each match of the VIVO IPL from there”. “The love for the Kolkata Knight Riders had simmered down over the past couple of years in Bengal, but this year has seen an unprecedented rise in KKR’s following and support.”

Jishu enthusiastically assumed the role of commentator for the day and brought some “T-Town masala” to the table along with Prosenjit who was unveiled as the official ambassador of the VIVO IPL telecast in Bengali on Jalsha Movies ahead of the tournament.
