Kolkata, August 27, 2018 :- Keventer Agro Limited recently yielded a massive 51 kg banana bunch at its ‘Demo Farm’ in Barasat.
These “Demo Farms” are dedicated exclusively towards showcasing the best practices of banana farming to the farmers. The farmers are guided with information on best agri-inputs, modern agronomic practices and their fields are monitored by the team of experts from Keventer Agro regularly.
Traditional varieties of bananas normally yield between 15-18 kgs per loom upon harvesting. The Grand Nine (G-9)variety offers higher yields in the region of 25-30 kgs per loom with some looms reaching in excess of 45 Kgs.
