Om Puri Padma Shri winner actor and one of the finest character actor of Bollywood, has died at 66.
He had died of a heart attack as per the tweets from leading media and people.
His popularity touched sky after his roles in the films like “Ardh Satya”, “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron” and “Paar”. Oscar winning director Satyajit Ray’s Film Sadgati was a landmark film of Mr. Puri in Television History.
Ambala, Haryana where he born will remember their son for many reason. His father worked in the railways and in the Indian Army.
He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He was also an alumnus of the 1973 class of the National School of Drama where Naseeruddin Shah was a fellow student.
How ever his controversial statement about Indian Army made some dent in his fame in recent time. But as an actor he will be remembered for ever.
