SGS Hong Kong Invests in Expansion of Testing Facilities to Strengthen its Support to Product Innovation Segment in Hong Kong and Neighboring Bay Area and Meet with IoT Trend and Demand
HONG KONG, March 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, announces the opening of a new laboratory for its Electrical & Electronics services in Hong Kong. Over 70 distinguished guests were in attendance during the opening ceremony comprising of top officials from the Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification, HKSAR Government and key clients from within the industry. The new facility, which features one of the most advanced EMC anechoic chambers in Hong Kong with its radio frequency signal up to 5GHz to match with latest technology specification, further expands our safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing capacity for new-age gadgets and devices in this wireless and IoT (Internet of Things) era.
The new investment is part of a key strategy to reinforce SGS’ unique advantage in delivering truly one-stop comprehensive solutions to an industry in which IoT is projected to generate USD 1.9 Trillion by the year 2020 with connected devices doubling over the next 5 years.
