Skulpt, the premium gymnasium is ready to welcome the festive season in style! It is that time of the year, when everyone is busy gearing up for the upcoming festive season. Keeping that in mind, Skulpt curated a festive special styling session, to showcase what’s in vogue and the novelty we can bring to our style this time of the year. Skulpt has always championed the cause of fitness with their diverse health programs.
This time around, they arranged an avant-garde event which saw fashion and fitness collectively in the same space. Divya Himatsingka, Director of Skulpt said, “We have set a paradigm by actively advocating the value of health, as getting into shape is what makes us look good and improves our self-esteem.
With this session, we are moving a step further and bringing together fitness and styling.” To co-host this session, Skulpt roped in Mumbai-based stylist Bobby Sen, who has worked with National award winning actors like-Vidya Balan, Tabu, Raveena Tandon. A graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bobby’s goal is to make each and everyone look like a million dollar star with less effort. Quite recently he was awarded for his contribution to Fashion & Style by renowned chain modeling agency – Elite Model Management. Some popular faces of Kolkata participated in this show.
Among the ladies were model and trekker Madhabilata Mitra, model Sonal and Ponds Femina Style Diva 2015 winner Ayesha Ghosh. Among the men, were model Mohammed Shabbir Baig, Elite Model Hunt 2017 winner Tufez Chauhan and model and actor Ravi Shaw of Zee Bangla Radha fame. The showstopper was none other than – actor Gargi Roy Chowdhury. In collaboration with designer Abhishek Ray, the interactive session was divided into 3 segments – with 3 sets of garments for each segment.
The first round had models draped in easy breezy Lounge Wear. The 2nd round was an exhibit of garments fit for the party scene, as the theme was Club Wear. Bobby was seen styling the models on stage and explaining the importance of dressing in sync with the body type. Festive Wear had been reserved for the finale. The ladies looked elegant in lehengas, long dresses and gowns which are in trend this festive season.
Ravi Shaw looked debonair in the Indo-Western wear specially designed for the men. Bobby Sen spoke about the importance of styling and how it can help us highlight our best assets and look good. He also spoke about the ongoing trends in styling and the role that fitness plays in shaping the body.
Bobby feels that looking good is imperative, but health is equally essential. He said, “Skulpt has offered me the chance to showcase how far we have come in terms of fashion and styling and how we can apply that this festive season. This session is informative as well, where we will exhibit the role fitness plays and how we can get into shape.”
The eye-opening session demonstrated how we must not be ashamed of our body and embrace our imperfections.
