USHA and NIFT confer Best Garment Construction Award 2018 to Ms. Shristi Chetani

Kolkata, June 04, 2018: Usha International Ltd, the leading player in the sewing machine industry felicitated the winner of the ‘NIFT Best Garment Construction Award 2018’ at the convocation ceremony held in Kolkata. The company has been conferring this prestigious award annually since 2000 to encourage budding fashion designers at each of the 13 NIFT centres at Mumbai, Chennai, Kannur, Patna, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kangra, Bengaluru, Rae Bareli, Shillong, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, and New Delhi.

This year, Ms. Shristi Chetani, was presented with an Usha Janome Dream Maker 120 sewing machine, a trophy, a certificate, and a cash award of Rs. 10,000/- by Usha International. The evening saw a congregation of fashion designers, NIFT faculty, and NIFT students along with their families. The audience was in for a treat as the students enthralled them with avant-garde collections showcased on the ramp.
