Srabani Sen Music Academy and P.C.Chandra Garden jointly presented “Aalor Utsav” a musical based on Tagore songs on 26 November,2017 at P.C.Chandra Garden (Gate-Two).Srabani Sen a noted Rabindrasangeet exponent started her music academy in 2014 in the month of July. Presently it has branches at Kabir Road, Howrah, Dunlop, Uttarpara,Behala,Barasat, Naihati,Salt lake and Bardhaman comprising of more than 400 students.
She is very much involved in creating the next generation of Rabindrasangeet disciples and artistes. Students performed song like Alo Amar Alo, Amader Khyepiye Beray and so on.Legendary Tagore song exponent Sumitra Sen along with noted singer Indrani Sen inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp.It was followed by the felicitation to ace musician-composer Debojyoti Mishra.
Mohan Banshi a musical dance drama presented by Madhubani Chatterjee ,artistes from Janhabi and Srabani Sen. It is based on Bhanusingher Padabali which was Tagore’s one of young age creations. Aalor Utsav was performed by the students and teachers of Srabani Sen Music Academy along with the leading artiste Srabani Sen.
