This has already been proved in Bengal Queen’s Season I and the brand which proved its uniqueness in its last season has come up with its Season II. Bengal Queen Season II starts off its auditions from December 2019 in three cities – Kolkata, Siliguri and Guwahati in a bigger way.
As the Director of the Bengal Queen, Mainak Banerjea says, “When I started last time I was apprehensive about the success and execution of the program but it was an instant hit and the winner was from Assam hence the participation craze from different cities started from then onwards. There were queries regarding the second season and the enormous response from the women brings the season II so early.”
Last year there was a ramp walk of the acid attack victims which spread the message of intolerance towards violence against women and acceptance of women in their toughest time. This year too they have a social message to see the participants’ approach to life. Bengal Queen has proved in its last efforts that beauty is not just about looks but also responsibility in terms of practical application. Further Banerjea speaks on the idea of the pageant, “I knew that this peageant will not just be a beauty contest but much beyond that.
Also we strictly maintain that talent is not saleable hence we ensure few rounds to judge them genuinely. In this season we will include many things that people will come to know as things get unfolded.” This time Bengal Queen moves out of Bengal as the ability and quality of women are not restricted to Bengal but she can spread her wings across. The brand believes to go across the nation in the few years to come but as of now the 3 cities will get the opportunity to participate. Since the initiator or Director of the brand is from Bengal, he wishes to keep the same name as Bengal is the hub of cultural milieu and known best for its warm welcome to anyone and everyone.
This is also a way to promote inter-cultural, inter-state and inter-religious affinity. The rounds will be almost the same but with more task based performance.
