Bongio Samaj Bengaluru awarded Puja Associations with Sharod Samman 2019
This year Bongio Samaj Bengaluru organized Bongio Samaj Sharod Samman Award in association with Total Environment to recognize the hard work of the members of Durga Puja associations and felicitate them with Sharod Samman. More than 40+ associations registered with Bongio Samaj Bengaluru across Bangalore. Bongio Samaj organized free Puja Parikrama buses and ferried passengers across Bangalore on 5th and 6th October and obtained feedback from the public about various associations on various categories. The final list of winners been declared on 7th October morning.
BARSHA HSR Layout and Electronic City Cultural Association are the joint winners of The Best Durga Puja of Bangalore award, BARSHA also won The Best Idol in Big Budget Puja category whereas Oikotan Hebbal won the Best Idol Award in Mid Budget Puja and KR Puram Cultural Trust won Best Puja in Low Budget Puja category. Jayamahal Sarbojanin Durga Charitable Samiti won Best Theme Award in Big Budget Puja, JBCA KR Puram won the Best Theme Award in Mid Budget Category and United Friends Club of Jallahalli won the Best Theme Prize in Low Budget category.
R T Nagar Sarbajanin Durga Puja Samiti won the Best Ambiance Prize Big Budget Puja, NORTH BANGALORE CULTURAL SAMITI won Best Ambiance in Mid Budget category and Harmony Cultural & Welfare Association won Best Ambiance Award in Low Budget category. Apart from distributing these awards, this year Bongio Samaj organized a special and unique category for Social Activities done by these associations mainly to encourage all associations to do more such giving back program. SBCA of Bannerghatta Road won the Best award for Social Activities, Utsav from JP Nagar also won the same award in the mid-budget category and Prakriti Foundation of Yeswantpur won the award for their social giving back programs to the society. Whitefield Cultural Association got the award for Best Crowd Management, managing more than a lakh visitor in 4 Days.
Organizers, representatives of Total Environment and RJ Tuhin and Abhishek of RED FM personally visited and handed over the prizes. Bongio Samaj also awarded 3 new pujas(Aarohan, HBCA and Purva Panorama Durga Puja) to recognize their first-year hard work and motivate them to do it more in a grand way. Special Jury Award was given to The Bengalee Association on its 70th Year Celebration. “We have not only received registration from Bangalore but also received 30 Top Pandals registrations from Kolkata. By next year we have plans to start the same award in Kolkata and other metro cities” said Sourav Moitra, Vice President of Bongio Samaj. and we are very much honored about it. More than 30 Top Puja Pandals registered.
