Kolkata: Yet another example of the locals’ arbitrariness, leaving no stone unturned in creating obstacles in the business world. Conspiracy is being plotted to stop the publication of Hindi Daily Prabhat Khabar of the Neutral Publishing House published from Kolkata. Ratan Chand Bhurat of Ratan Textile Mills, situated at Pathuriaghat, has threatened to shut down the printing press of Prabhat Khabar located at 107 / F, BT Road under Khardah Police Station.

On the instructions of Mr. Bhurat, his goons have dug pit at the entrance of the printing press, creating obstructions in the way of entering the printing press. Not only this, tins have also been barricaded, to stop the supply of newsprint and newspaper. The supply of drinking water in the printing press has also been stopped.

However, the fourth CGM Court of Sealdah, Junior Division has ordered in favor of Prabhat Khabar on April 20th, 2017 that Prabhat Khabar should be allowed to do business in general and there should be no obstacles. In spite of local Police Station’s intervention, they are not willing to follow the instructions of the police and court and threatened to stop the publication by refusing such verdicts. Even police personnel have been threatened on Tuesday morning. The local legislator and chief whif of the ruling party, Nirmal Ghosh has also been approached but the problem is yet to be solved.
