INDIAN LEATHER PRODUCT ASSOCIATION is all geared up for their annual fashion extravaganza ILPA 2017, Leather on the Ramp, The conference announcing the same was held at Gucchi, Hyatt regency Kolkata on 22nd of February. The event was a curtain raiser for the ILPA fashion show scheduled to be held on February 26, 2017.
The afternoon conference was presided by ILPA President Mr. Alok Prakash, Vice President, Adhar Sahni along with Conveuor ILPA Trade Fair Committee Amitabh Singh, Chairman ILPA Trade show Committee Kaustav Nandi and Arjun Mukund Kulkarni, Vice President ILPA who is the Platinum Sponsor.
The top six brands and manufacturers participating in the show this year include Rajada, D2 International, KOZA by Balaji Leather Creation, Kompenro who i sponsoring FDDI budding designers to showcase their talents.
It was also announced that this year the ILPA YOUTH COMMITTEE has been formed which will be comprised of the second generation from the ILPA family. The members have come up with an initiative of ILPA Magic Box for charity. Another interesting fact was the FDDI Assist, where they visited the prison and trained prisoners to make the bags which will be presented in the show.
Also, the director general of prison will be there for the event on 26th.
The event also saw Mr.Kaustav Nandi announce the show, introduce Platinum Sponsor, Hospitality Partner & finally Face of ILPA Show 2017 Mumtaz Sorcar.
Apart from being a curtain raiser, the conference saw panelists discuss the large arena of production, the newness and advancement imbibed by the Leather Industry in India and how ILPA aims to inculcate the latest fashion trends and vogue in each of their new collection.
FDDI and Black Dog are the backstage partners and pouring partners for the event respectively.
