Kolkata is all set to witness a ‘Battle of DJs‘ on the cricket field
Kolkata, 29 July 2019: The two things that Kolkata enjoys the most are cricket and music, and nothing better than combining the both. After two successful editions of DJ Cricket League (DCL), Kolkata is ready to witness the 3rd edition of DCL. DJs from all over the city are ready to put down their headphones and pick up their bats and gloves! A press conference was held at Levels the Club, Salt Lake, Sector 5, to announce the launch of the latest season of the tournament. The event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities like Veteran Indian Cricketer Shri Arun Lal, Rj Jimmy Tangree, Mr. Subramanyam Vssn Mushi Nuri, Owner, Levels the Club, Ms. Paromita Ghosh, Director, Candid Communication along with curator of DCL and internationally acclaimed DJ Akash Rohira.
This exciting event will have 72 DJs from all over the city battling under one roof to win the title. The concept behind this league is to combine two of the most exciting things that is, cricket and music. Since, DJs are always the one who make a party happen, DCL aims at shifting the focus on DJs, and making sure they have an exciting time. The press conference witnessed the 72 DJs being divided into 6 teams and the announcement of the Captains of their respective teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Veteran Indian Cricketer Shri Arun Lal said, “These kind of exciting and new ideas are always welcomed. I feel extremely overwhelmed to have been a part of such an event. This reminds me of my cricketing days and I am so grateful for that. I wish the entire team of DCL luck and love.”
Further, the evening also witnessed the jersey revealing of the six teams along with the unveiling of the grand trophy that the winners will bag for themselves. Shri Arun Lal inaugurated the event and was felicitated for his immense contribution in the field of cricket.
Present on the occasion DJ Akash Rohira said, “I dreamt about this league in 2017 which did come true with our first edition. Now we are ready with the 2019 edition, after two successful editions. We have an excellent team and believe in the discipline of the sport.This was not and will never be possible alone, it’s a team effort and we are also looking forward to many more editions of DCL. I will take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the DCL team”.
The Finals of the third edition of DCL will take place on 25th August, 2019 at Spring Club.
