“Tapsil Jati Adibasi Praktan Sainik Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra”, a West Bengal based voluntary organization (VO) led by eminent social activist Soumen Koley had conducted SUSWAGATAM , a mega event recently at Haripal in Hooghly.
It marked one of the biggest events by TJAPSKBSK, one of the largest in Eastern India, bringing together dignitaries from all walk of the society, including great film artist Mr. Bishwajit Chatterjee and thousands of TJAPSKBSK representatives, staff members and others from all spheres across West Bengal, Assam and New Delhi.
The main objective of the event was to share the progress towards the goal of the organization catering to serving the needs of the poor, neglected, downtrodden and disadvantaged groups for last 37 years with concerted efforts of 6500 volunteers.
The event captured glimpses of significant activities like rescue and relief during the recent flood in West Bengal, Health Check-up camps, Blood Donation Camps, Farmers training, Orientation of Fishermen, Training programs for Artisans and many others.
It also displayed the campaigns like Safe Drive Save Life, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaigns, led by the Organization across 204 blocks in 18 districts of West Bengal, informed the Secretary of TJAPSKBSK, Shri Soumen Koley.
In addition to the social development issues and activities, the event also had a strong cultural lineage, with performances by a host of talented artists from across the state, thus making it a perfect blend of socio-cultural welfare program.
