Adbhutam is one of the leading instrumental bands in India since 2016, formed in the year 2014. The genre of the band is best described as Indo-Occidental Fusion Music, but it has also been described by some music critics as Raga-Rock Fusion which inspires & rejuvenates Life and Soul. It is an expression of Indian music with the blend of other genres, dissolve into each other to bring forth a truly unique sound and vibe. Since the dawn of 2015, Adbhutam is awarded with several awards and honours in the field of Indian Music for the outstanding musical compositions and mesmerizing live performances.
Adbhutam collaborated with many eminent National and International artists both on stage and off stage to promote Indian Music and Performing Arts along with the aim to take World Music to a greater level from national to global platforms. The Musicians from different genres of the band, truly gives a mesmerizing live experience and also add #AdbhutamMagic to the music.
Adbhutam is a Sanskrit word, it is an “expression” or “element” of music as described in Indian Classical music means Wonderful / extraordinary. The word “Super group” is tossed around a lot in instrumental music circles, the result of a seemingly endless supply of efforts to package together individual virtuoso players and make a masterpiece out of them. In case of Adbhutam, the music is authentic & has a taste of freshness & creativity by the endless effort of the band members and their music can create a new era of fusion music. Members: Somak Sinha (Lead Guitarist and PR Manager), Suman Mitra (Bassist), Saptarshi Sheet (Drummer), Moinak Biswas (Band Manager), Pritha Sarkar (Stylist & Creative Head) “Spirit of Fusion”: After the great success of our debut album Beginning the Epic, we planned to release our next album with more energy and vibe. The genre of the album is Raga-Rock Fusion (Instrumental), which is a form of fusion music, with the Indian Classical Music at core combined with other exotics genres. In this album, we experimented with the songs beyond limitations, we tried to blend Indian Classical Music with EDM in the song Bhairavi Ecstasy, there is a perfect juxtaposition of symphony and orchestration with heavy rock ballad in the song Morphine, the song Malhar is ornamented with Indian Instrumental Ensemble on raga “Miyan Ki Malhar”.
Moreover, we rearranged the spiritual chants of India, like Aigiri Nandini, Kaal Bhairava, with more zeal and dynamics. Our Future objective: • Adbhutam always tries to expand the boundaries of Indian Culture and Indian Music across the globe and in the coming years we are trying the reach the maximum. • Adbhutam is coming up with Raveaan, an official brand for clothing and fashion; a fusion of diverse silhouettes and authenticity of Indic elements • Adbhutam is planning to form a separate organization, Rudraksh to support the needy and underprivileged from the earnings of album sell and concerts • Special Musical workshops will be started from March 2020 in schools and colleges to bring out the creativity among young generation.
