NSHM KNOWLEDGE CAMPUS, HOSTS NATCONPH 2019 – NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COLLABORATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES-VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Kolkata, 14 February 2019: NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata organised the 10th edition of its annual conference on Pharmacy and Healthcare, NATCONPH 2019 at Science City auditorium. The conference focussed on the necessity of collaborative health sciences with special attention to advances in pharmaceutical and allied healthcare industries. The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries such as Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj, Head, Ram Krishna Mission Ashram, Narendrapur, Dr. Shashi Panja, Minister-in-charge, (Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare), Dr.Nirmal Majhi, President, West Bengal Medical Council (WBMC), Dr.Sukumar Mukherjee, Advisor, GD Hospital & Diabetes Institute, Kolkata to name a few. The guests who were present at the ceremony shared their views on the necessity of collaboration in modern day health sciences for the cause of better healthcare delivery to the community.
NATCONPH is an annual conference organised by NSHM Knowledge Campus, which provides a platform for discussion on various subjects related to the current healthcare system. Presently in India, the biggest challenge in the healthcare sector stands in providing effective and quality care with minimal expenditure. The focus of the conference was to highlight the necessity of collaboration in modern day health sciences to provide quality experience to patients and lower per capita healthcare costs. Notable personalities from healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors as well as noted academicians shared their invaluable knowledge in panel discussions and lectures on topics like, “Holistic approach for effective health outcome” and “Ocular antibiotic drug resistance.”
With NATCONPH 2019 NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata attempted to bring together all the healthcare providers such as Physicians, Pharmacists, Mental Health Professionals, Spiritual Guides, Hospital Administrators, Nutritionists, Dieticians, Community Agencies, Home Care Provider and more on the same platform. NSHM through this conference tried to highlight how to channelize all these partners in healthcare and make them work together to improve overall patient care, elevate quality of treatment and reduce the cost.
