Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which is called Yi Dai Yi Lu in Chinese a unique global opportunity for all as per China.

BRI concept as conceived by China is like 1+1>2 which will provide mutual growth, stability and security.

China strategically selected the main city of eastern India Kolkata to call the press meet as major Silk Route channels for business with India is through east and strategic point of mutual interest is also at east.

However Chinese Consul General Ma Zhanwu explained why it was important for India as a global important country needs to be a part of this initiative.

The mega projects like this will create a synergy among partners and countries who will participate in the project.

According to many India’s biggest mistake is missing the train of development.

But Consul General feels that soon in next session India will join the mega development initiative.

But India can not afford to accept any construction over the land with out their permission which India feel her integral part. So Modi Government had to take the balancing act to stay away from the project initially. How ever things will take dynamic changes in future as world consolidates to the practical peace and harmony at regional and global level.

BRI & OBOR Vision

The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road, also known as the Belt and Road Initiative, the Belt and Road (abbreviated B&R), or One Belt, One Road (abbreviated OBOR) is a development strategy, proposed by Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People’s Republic of China and the rest of Eurasia, which consists of two main components, the land-based “Silk Road Economic Belt” (SREB) and oceangoing “Maritime Silk Road” (MSR). The strategy underlines China’s push to take a bigger role in global affairs, and its need for priority capacity cooperation in areas such as steel manufacturing.
