The City witnesses the launch of ‘Pee cone’- Disposable Urination Device for Women that can help fight Urinary Tract Infections

A recent study conducted by National Centre for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) shows,

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs) occur more often in women than in men, at a ratio of 8:1
  • 7 out of 10 women in India are suffering from Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
  • Approx. 50–60% of women report at least one UTI in their lifetime, and 1 in 3 will have at least one symptomatic UTI necessitating antibiotic treatment by age 24.
  • Approx. 117 million females need to use one toilet. This indicates that most of the females are forced to use dirty toilets which may lead to serious infection
