GiMA Award winning rock percussionist Guru Pt. Prodyut Mukherjee received the prestigious Pt Manmohan Bhatt Memorial Award presented by the Sangeet Kala Kendra recently at Jaipur for his outstanding contribution in the field of Indian Classical and Fusion Music. Sangeet Kala Niketan was founded seventy years back and this year they presented the prestigious award to sixteen personalities from various genres of our society in presence of Grammy awardee Padma Bhusan musician Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. It is named after Pt Vishwamohan Bhatt’s father. Prodyut Mukherjeestated, “
