Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) had recently launched School and College National Football Championship in the presence of Prime Minister, Nita Ambani, Chairperson, Reliance Foundation and Vijay Goel, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports.

Now they have opened up free online registrations of same. In the first year, the competitions will be played in eight cities – Chennai, Mumbai, Kochi, Kolkata, Goa, Guwahati, Delhi and Pune and in four categories.

For schools, the categories are: Junior Boys (Grade 7 to 10); Senior Boys (Grade 11 & 12); Senior Girls (Grade 11 & 12) and for Colleges the category will be Boys (Graduates).

These school and college football matches will be broadcast on digital platform and through these competitions will develop and create a talent scouting pool to provide scholarships to deserving children. The city winners will further get opportunity to train with professional football clubs to prepare for the national competition to be held in the month of January/February 2017.
