On 6th April 2023, US Consul General in Kolkata, Ms. Melinda Pavek visited The Heritage School for an interactive session on pursuing higher studies in the top universities and colleges in the United States of America.
The entire program was organized under the United States- India Educational Foundation (USIEF). Ms. Pavek was accompanied by the Education USA Advisors, Ms. Unnati Singhania, and Ms. Megha Roy Chatterjee.
During the inaugural address, Ms. Melinda Pavek spoke about the future of learning which is very much important for the students to know. She spoke about connectivity, prosperity, security, and collaborations & democracy, which are imperative in maintaining the US-India strategic partnerships in the field of education. She also said that this year USIEF is opening 30 percent more student visa appointments in comparison to last year, which is great news for aspiring students who want to pursue their dreams in the USA.
The session was also addressed by Ms. Unnati Singhania on the basic model of higher education in the USA. She spoke about the ways students can take the help of USIEF in pursuing their dreams. Ms. Megha Roy Chatterjee spoke about the cultural differences which Indian students face while they complete their studies in the United States of America. She elaborated on the ways how students can cope with the challenges they face in the United States.
The session also witnessed the presence of Mr. Vikram Swarup, Chairman, of The Heritage School, Mr. P.K.Agarwal, CEO, of Heritage Group of Institutions, Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, of The Heritage School, Ms. Runa Chatterjee, Headmistress, The Heritage School, Mr. Darryl Christopher Christensen, Headmaster, The Heritage School, and other teachers and staff.
