NCC DIRECTORATE KARNATAKA & GOA ARE CROWNED CHAMPIONS AT ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP 2025

  A gala award presentation ceremony on 28 Sept 2025 marked the culmination of All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC-2025), the apex camp of Air Wing NCC, which was conducted by NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goa at Air Force Station Jalahalli. This event witnessed 632 Air Wing NCC cadets from all over the country compete against each other in various events that form a part of Air Wing NCC training curriculum,to win the coveted ‘Vayu Sena Trophy’ for the ‘Best Air Contingent’.

17 competing Directorates were represented by 38 cadets each, who underwent intensive training over the last few months to earn their place in the contingent. This edition of AIVSC also witnessed participation by cadets from Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate, for the very first time in its history. The cadets were pitted against each other in competitions such as drill, skeet shooting, .22 firing, aeromodelling as well as field craft. Cadets were also assessed for their proficiency in microlight flying. With an aim to impart vocational skill development to the cadets, Drone competition was introduced in the current edition of AIVSC. The cadets were also exposed to various activities with an aim to develop their personality, give them an exposure to the world of aviation and to motivate them to take up a career in the armed forces. Cadets got an opportunity to interact with keynote speakers from the armed forces and to participate in an abridged training capsule conducted by Centre for Leadership & Behavioural Studies, a Service Training Institute of IAF. The winners of various competitions were fortunate to have been awarded the medals by Air Vice Marshal K Prem Kumar, VM, VSM, Command Flying Training Officer HQ Training Command IAF, who happened to be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. The Air Officer also addressed the cadets on this occasion and shared inspiring anecdotes from his treasure trove of experiences in the sky blue uniform. He impressed upon the cadets to move ahead in life with courage, confidence and moral fibre,so as to be true assets of the nation. 

With the highest medal haul of 12 individual medals and two trophies, including ‘Best in Drone Competition’, the contingent from NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goawon the Vayu Sena Trophy for ‘Best Air Contingent’ for the third consecutive year, while NCC Directorate Maharashtra finished as ‘First Runner up’.
