MORE THAN 43.6 LAKH PASSENGERS TRAVELLED IN METRO FROM PANCHAMI TO NAVAMI
MORE THAN 2.25 CRORE PASSENGERS CARRIED IN SEPTEMBER

Metro Railway, Kolkata, has once again lived up to the expectations of all!
From Panchami to Navami of this Durga Puja, more than 43.6 lakh passengers have availed Metro services and more than 4.83 lakh passengers have booked tickets through Aamar Kolkata Metro app during these days. On 01.10.2025 (Navami), 8.16 lakh passengers have travelled in the Metro. More than 6.26 lakh passengers have travelled in Blue Line and more than 1.69 lakh passengers have travelled in Green Line on Navami. From Panchami to Navami, more than 33.58 lakh passengers have travelled in Blue Line. Green Line carried more than 9 lakh passengers in this period.
Under the new scheme, 18,494 Smart Cards have been issued from Panchami to Navami and more than 1.45 lakh Smart Cards have been revalidated for 10 years under the new scheme and reduced issue price at ₹ 100/-which is phenomenal and it has also helped in reducing rush at the booking counters. A total of 638 Tourist Smart Cards have also been sold from Panchami to Navami.
In September, 2025 Metro Railway has carried more than 2.25 crore passengers. This is highest ever monthly passenger count in the history of Metro Railway. We extend our thanks to all our commuters for their increased patronage and co-operation.
Passengers are requested to book tickets through the AAMAR KOLKATA METRO app before reaching the stations to avoid rush at the booking counters.They are also requested to use Smart Cards/ Tourist Smart Cards so that rush at booking counters can be avoided and thereby save valuable time and money.
