DRM/Sealdah inspected ongoing Bridge Maintenance works prioritizing passenger safety and infrastructure development amidst immense Summer Heatwave

Demonstrating unwavering commitment towards passenger safety and infrastructure development works, Sri Deepak Nigam,
DRM/Sealdah, along with divisional officers, inspected the all important ongoing Stringer Replacement Work at Bridge No. 2 on the Up CCR line in between Dumdum – Dankuni Section. This crucial bridge maintenance work, being undertaken despite the challenging scorching summer heat, is a testimony to the unflinching dedication of the Railway employees.
The work involves replacing bridge stringers – the horizontal beams that support the Railway tracks alongwith rail bearers. This critical work strengthens the bridge structure, ensuring smooth and safe movement of trains.
DRM/Sealdah Sri Nigam stressed that, the bridge maintenance work at CCR Bridge No. 2 exemplifies our pledge in providing safe and comfortable travel experience for our passengers because passenger convenience remains highest priority for us. DRM further emphasizes that, in order to minimize disruptions and delays, our employees are working 24X7 in such extreme temperatures and we commend their hard work and dedication.
