A breath of respite literally above concrete-lines, The Shack Loulnge (24, Tarak Dutta Lane, near Quest Mall) – a 65-seater rooftop café with mostly unobtrusive view had drawn in heavy teen-steps in its minimal fuss décor den with Italian, Mexican and Lebanese cuisine.
And now it further expands to incorporate American finger-food as well as bolstering the repertoire with separate Mexican and Lebanese Platters.
The menu grew richer by spicy Chilli Cheese Toast, American Club Sandwich, Cheese and Corn Sandwich, Mushroom and Cheese Sandwich, a Burger platter (small sliders in different flavors) and an OMG Burger. True to its nomenclature, OMG burger is a mammoth bun-pâté spectacle and like all burgers and sandwiches comes with dips and fries.
Mexican Platter has Herb rice being served with enchiladas, nachos and a salsa verde – the filaf-style rice – arroz verde has naturally dry texture and was cooked with a refined spice control and Mezze Platter comprising Lebanese rice, falafel pockets and a wrap served along with lavash and hummus was equally good. Mention must be made of hummus’ true color and beautiful mashed chickpea and tahini (toasted ground hulled sesame seed) blend.
Patrons also have an option of toying with a PS4 station, a number of board games and have a pedicure/foot massage with the munchies.
