National Commission for Women has issued notice for seven days to apologies in writing.
The actor was quoted by the entertainment site SpotboyE as saying during a media chat on his film:
“When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight.”
Sources close to Salman Khan said Sallu Bhai may come out with an unconditional apology before he leaves tonight to attend an award function in Madrid,Spain.
The 50-year-old star made the comment while speaking about the wrestling scenes in Sultan and describing what he felt was a grueling shoot, involving “lifting the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles.”
Lalitha Kumaramangalam, the chief of the National Commission for Women, said:
“It is quite shameful that such a public figure can talk so irresponsibly.”
