WB Govt to set up Start-Up Incubation Centre
The West Bengal Government will set up a Start-Up Incubation Centre to support the educated youth to start its own businesses. Powered by the State Information & Technology Department and WEBEL, the centre will come up a WEBEL premises in Saltlake Sector V.
A memo will be sent to the State Cabinet for approval of this project.
The State Government is also thinking of setting up a Rs 100 Crore fund which may be utilized a seed capital for the start-up organizations. The Government is planning to provide the initial fund support to them. Also, in case of diversifying the businesses, the Government will help to rope in foreign venture capital funds.
The IT-based start-up companies which are developing software products will be eligible to be included in the start-up incubation centre.

শিক্ষিত যুবক যুবতীরা যাতে নিজেরাই ব্যবসা শুরু করতে পারে তাই তাদের সহায়তা করার জন্য রাজ্যের তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি দপ্তর এবং ওয়েবেল একটি বিরাট মাপের স্টার্ট আপ ইনকিউবেশন সেন্টার তৈরি করার পরিকল্পনা করেছে।
এই মর্মে রাজ্য মন্ত্রিসভার কাছে দপ্তরের তরফে একটি প্রস্তাব অনুমোদনের জন্য পাঠানো হবে।
স্টার্ট আপ সংস্থাগুলিকে সিড ক্যাপিটাল জোগাতে ১০০ কোটি টাকার একটি ফান্ড তৈরির পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে রাজ্য সরকারের। সরকার তাদের প্রাথমিক তহবিলে সহায়তা প্রদান করার পরিকল্পনা করেছে। এছাড়াও, ব্যবসা বহুমুখীকরণের ক্ষেত্রে, প্রয়োজনীয় তহবিলের জন্য বিদেশি ভেঞ্চার ক্যপিটাল ফান্ডগুলি সাহায্য করবে।
আইটি ভিত্তিক স্টার্ট আপ কোম্পানি যারা সফটওয়্যার প্রোডাক্ট উদ্ভাবন করেছে তারা এই ইনকিউবেশন সেন্টারের মধ্যে অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে।
