Starmark, in association with Patra Bharati, hosts the launch of ‘Rajanikanta’ as a part of Rajanikanta Sen’s 150th birth anniversary celebrations.
‘Rajanikanta’ has been compiled and edited by Riddhi Bandyopadhyay, the renowned vocalist well known for her ‘Panchakabir Gan’. She has made a creditable contribution towards popularising songs of Rajanikanta Sen, Dwijendralal Roy and Atulprasad Sen amongst the present generation. She has performed at various cultural platforms in India and abroad. A recipient of the Government of India’s Fellowship, Riddhi holds a Master’s degree in History from the Calcutta University.
The occasion saw the presentation of selected songs of Rajanikanta, in the presence of eminent personalities. They also spoke or presented songs, including Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, Debajyoti Mishra, Biswajit Chakraborty, Biplab Dasgupta and Devajit Bandyopadhyay.
