Bengal Govt to celebrate the success of Kanyashree scheme today
The Bengal Government will celebrate the international recognition and appreciation received by Kanyashree Prakalpa at a function today at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. It was awarded the First Prize at United Nations Public Service Award Ceremony this year.Representatives from all corners of the State will come together to celebrate the success of Kanyashree girls, who will be felicitated by the Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Students who have benefitted from the Kanyashree Scheme from every district will participate in the celebratory event of this flagship scheme.

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের বিশ্বজয় উদযাপিত হবে আজ
মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের প্রকল্প-‘কন্যাশ্রী’ আজ বিশ্বসেরা। এবছর সারা বিশ্বের ৬২টি দেশের ৫৫২টি সামাজিক প্রকল্পের মধ্যে বাংলার কন্যাশ্রীকে সেরা ঘোষণা করে রাষ্ট্রসংঘ। প্রথম পুরস্কার পায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর স্বপ্নের প্রকল্প “কন্যাশ্রী”। বাংলার এই আন্তর্জাতিক স্বীকৃতি ও সম্মান উদযাপন করা হবে আজ নেতাজি ইন্ডোর স্টেডিয়ামে।
রাজ্যের সকল প্রান্ত থেকে কন্যাশ্রীরা আসবেন আজকের অনুষ্ঠানে। তাদের সম্মানিত করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।
কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প বাংলার গর্ব। এখনও পর্যন্ত আনুমানিক ৪১ লক্ষ মেয়ে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের আওতায় এসেছে। এই প্রকল্পের উদ্দেশ্য হল মেয়েদের সামগ্রিক উন্নয়ন করা। নাবালিকা বিবাহ রোখাও এই প্রকল্পের এক উদ্দেশ্য।
