Today University of Kalyani had a definite reason to be proud including the peoples of Nadia District because of the new state of the Art Auditorium named after Late President of India A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has been inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Dr. Partha Chatterjee.
All key members of the University and local bodies were present at the occasion VC Professor Sankar Kumar Ghosh,Registrar Dr Debansu Roy,Faruque Ahamed Assistant Director DODL University of Kalyani,Minister Ujjal Biswas,Rukbanur Rahaman MLA,MP Tapan Mondal etc.
During the initial speech VC Professor Sankar Ghosh informed all the achievements of the University of Kalyani and how the all around development is reflected in NAAC rating improved from B to A and expecting a better ratting soon.
Minister Dr.Partha Chatterjee gave a spirited speech which touched all.Time and again large applause showed the positive mood of the students and teachers for his speech.
He called all quality people, students, teachers must be given the right post and support no politics in this regard will be accepted.
Student and teacher must involve in study first then the quality extra curricular activity and politics should be after that and that too for development of the students and study.
Faruque Ahamed Assistant Director DODL University of Kalyani handed over the flowers and his book to the Minister Dr. Partha Chatterjee and expressed his positive feeling about the minister’s presence in this occation.
Also the Arya Bhawan and Charu Kala Bhawan was inaugurated by the minister.
Minister expressed faith in the leadership of VC and his Team and told them to fill up the vacant post with in two months of time.
