Global mentoring walk- International Woman’s Day –

Kolkata 9^th March 2019- Rakshak Foundation in association with Vital Voices organized a Global Mentoring Walk in Kolkata on 9th March, 2019. Global Mentoring Walk an opportunity to highlight the importance of women’s leadership and to accelerate the impact of women leaders through mentoring. Commemorating the occasion of International Women’s Day, global women leaders from Vital Voices’ Global Leadership Network are participating to walk in solidarity with women around the world in 174 walks across 62 countries, on this day.

Chaitali Das  as the Alumna of Fortune /US State Department Global Woman Mentoring Partnership Programme with Vital Voices, this year, had  the opportunity to be the flag bearer for Kolkata Chapter

The walk followed by a Panel Discussion on “Women leading Sustainability Development in the World” at an Open Garden in Alipore, Maintained by Rakshak Foundation with the assistance of the local Children of ‘New Horizon Literacy Centre’ with an aim to make a clean and green environment.

The walk was from Bailey Bridge Alipore to Durgapur Bridge.

There was more than 200 participants consisting of students from colleges as mentees and eminent personalities, Academicians, Doctors, Artists and bureaucrats as mentors. Students recognized for captions, posters and placards.
