November 18, 2019: Kolkata’s leading bookstore chain Starmark is now holding, in association with Penguin Random House India, THE PENGUIN CLASSICS FESTIVAL: THERE IS ONE FOR EVERYONE at its South City Mall bookstore – the Festival’s only venue in Kolkata. The Festival is being held till November 30, 2019, from 10.30 am to 9 pm daily.
This one-of-its-kind Festival is showcasing a wide range of books, covering more than 6000 titles… from Penguin US Black Classics, Penguin UK Black Classics, Penguin Modern Classics, Penguin Indian Classics, Vintage Classics and a selection of Premium Classics, some of them attractively cloth-bound or leather-bound. The US Black Classics and UK Black Classics include books of many unknown or lesser-known writers, which are available for the first time in India. Staying true its tag line ‘there is one for everyone’, The Penguin Classics Festival attracts all book lovers and reading enthusiasts, young and old.
This is the second edition of the Festival, conceived and based on the overwhelming response received from readers last year. The Festival is also being held simultaneously in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
