BSF showed vigilance, apprehended Indian smuggler with heroin during gate checking

The troops of Border Out Post Boyraghat, 78 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, succeeded in nabbing 01 Indian smuggler with 23 grams of narcotic substance (Heroin) on 20th February, 2022 at 1300 PM on International Border in Murshidabad district of Bengal.
On February 20, 2022, on the basis of specific Information in the afternoon, the troops posted at the gate in the area of Border Out Post Boyraghat, during checking, apprehended 01 Indian smuggler with 23 gm of narcotic substance. The apprehended smuggler has been identified as Jamal Sheikh, son – Nazrul Islam, Village – Pirojpur 1, Post Office – Dayarampur Police Station – Raghunathganj District – Murshidabad.
During preliminary interrogation, the Indian smuggler revealed that he had to cross the drug by hiding it in the seat of his bike. For this work he had received 500/- Indian currency and it was to be handed over to Injil Biswas in Pirojpur village by crossing the border post Boyraghat from Saidapur Bazar.
Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier stated that the apprehended Indian smuggler has been handed over to Raghunathganj Police Station for further legal action. Along with this, an FIR was also lodged by the BSF, so that the matter could be investigated in depth and the smugglers could be cracked down.
