BSF APPREHENDED AN INDIAN SMUGGLER WITH PHENSEDYL AND GANJA AT INDO-BANGLADESH BORDER

On 24 July 2022 at 2330 hrs, the troops of Border Out Post Bhitari, 112 Battalion, Sector Kolkata noticed 2-3 smugglers from the Indian side carrying bundles and moving towards the International Boundary with the intention of smuggling. The troops challenged the smugglers and ordered them to stop. One smuggler was apprehended by BSF troops while the rest of the smugglers escaped. 400 Phensedyl bottles and 2 kg ganja were recovered from the smuggler. The price of the seized Phensedyl in the Indian market is Rs 82,144. The seized items have been handed over to Swarupnagar Police Station for further legal action. The intelligence department of BSF is engaged in getting information about this seizure. Soon, smugglers related to smuggling will be identified.
