”For many years, your festival has been welcoming a large, close-knit group of participants and film lovers to Vyborg. It exposes the public to great films and the latest achievements in Russian cinematography, provides excellent opportunities for a deep and engaged discussion of current professional issues and long-term plans, and serves as a unique networking platform for strengthening business and personal contacts. It is gratifying that over the years the forum has maintained its established traditions and is well-known for its special, spiritual atmosphere.
I am sure that this anniversary festival, which is taking place in the 100th birth anniversary year of Stanislav Rostotsky and the 90th birth anniversary year of Andrei Tarkovsky, will become an unforgettable celebration of creativity and friendly communication for all those present. And of course, it will help promote and popularise the best Russian feature, documentary and animated films.”
