BSF APPREHENDED 02 DRUG SMUGGLERS ON INDO-BANGLADESH INTERNATIONAL BORDER

Troops of Border Out Post Mahakhola, 82 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier apprehended 02 smugglers red handed with 50 grams (suspected brown sugar) of narcotics. The apprehended smugglers have been identified as Azizul Mandal and Anarul Sheikh, residents of Hathkhola, Nadia.
On 19th December, 2022, on the basis of reliable and accurate information of the Intelligence Branch of BSF, when 02 suspected scooty riders were stopped for search, the said drugs were seized from their possession. During interrogation, the smugglers revealed that they had taken these goods from Kalu, resident of Kachha Bazar, Chapra and were going to hand it over to Pravina Mandal, resident of Chapra. He got Rs 500 for this work.
The seized item has been handed over to Police Station Chapra for further legal action.
The Commanding Officer of 82 Battalion expressed happiness over the vigilance of his troops and stated that his troops are fully determined and stop cross Border crimes and smuggling.
