PCOM/ER AND DRM/SEALDAH INSPECTED PROGRESS OF ON-GOING WORK FOR COMMISSIONING OF 3RD LINE WITH AUTOMATIC SIGNALLING BETWEEN NAIHATI AND KALYANI
Kolkata, March 18, 2023:
Inspired by the guidance of Shri Arun Arora, General Manager / Eastern Railway regarding the need for thorough supervision regarding asset maintenance and system improvement, Shri P. Dansana, Principal Chief Operations Manager / Eastern Railway, and Shri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah, along with other Senior Officers of Sealdah Division conducted inspection over Sealdah – Ranaghat section on 18.03.2023.
A window trailing inspection was conducted in which PCOM and DRM/Sealdah inspected the progress of non-interlocking work for the commissioning of 3rd line with automatic signalling between Naihati – Kalyani and various issues related to signaling & railway track layout.
During this visit, Shri Dansana & Shri Nigam inspected panel rooms, points & crossings between Naihati & Kalyani. They also discussed at length with the Branch Officers and Field Staff regarding Yard diagrams and related issues of Non Interlocking and safety measures, etc. keeping in view the augmentation of safety aspects.
