DRM/Sealdah inspected over Seladah-Budge Budge section

Kolkata, March 28, 2023:

Sri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah, along with other Senior Officers of Sealdah Division conducted inspection at the Sealdah-Budge Budge section on 28.03.2023.
During the visit, a window trailing inspection was conducted by DRM/Sealdah in which he inspected various issues related to signalling P/Way (track), and level crossings.,etc.
As a part of the Railway Ministry’s instruction to improve Goods sidings Sri Nigam, inspected New Alipore Goods Shed and Goods Yard at New Alipore to augment/revamp the existing infrastructure like approach road, drainage, illumination, covered shed, merchant’s room, labour room, etc. . Sri Deepak Nigam, DRM/Seakdah also visited CESC and had a meeting with officials of CESC/Budge Budge wherein, Managing Director/CESC along with other higher officials from CESC were present and different issues for better handling of coal and POL rakes and thereby improvement of Wagon Turn Round were discussed. Further, Sri Nigam visited tippler plant and other rake handling points to see its functionality.
During this maiden visit of Sri Deepak Nigam, DRM/ Sekdah, he inspected panel rooms, points & crossings, had discussions over Yard diagram and related issues and other mass passenger contact areas like Booking office, Reservation counters, etc. at New Alipore and Budge Budge. Sri Nigam vividly inspected the stations, platforms, status of the available amenities, shortcomings and augmentation thereof and issued instruction to the concerned officers for rectification/repairing.
He pointed out the various areas where development is required and counselled the staff to be more vigil. He interacted with the passengers for their feedback and suggestions regarding improvement, he also interacted with the staff and enquired about the areas in which they are facing setback and suggested ideas to enhance their skill to provide better facilities to the passengers.
