Lt Gen RP Kalita GOC&C Eastern Command carried out a three-day visit to Manipur to assess & review the ground security situation. He visited Kangpokpi, Matripukhri, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Yaingangpokpi & Moreh, wherein he was updated on the security situation by local commanders.
#ArmyCdrEC interacted with Hon’ble CM, Security Advisor, and Senior Government Officials to discuss the ongoing situation and the measures to boost unison amongst all agencies for setting in early normalcy.
During his meetings with local stakeholders, including members from all communities & several Civil Society Organisations, the #ArmyCdrEC urged suspension of hostilities by all sections of society. He urged the people of Manipur to maintain tranquility & harmony & carry out constructive dialogue to ensure lasting peace in the region.
