METRO SERVICES ARE TO BE REGULATED ON 27.05.23 (SATURDAY)

Due to the regular track maintenance work, a mega power block will be taken between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Kavi Subhash Metro stations. This power block will be taken on 27.05.23(Saturday).
On 27.05.23 (Saturday), Metro services will run between Dakshineswar/Dumdum – Mahanayak Uttam Kumar stations from 06:50 hrs to 10:00 hrs. as usual. No services will be available on Mahanayak Uttam Kumar – Kavi Subhash stretch from 06:50 hrs – 10:00 hrs. on that day. From 10:00 hrs. onwards normal services will be available over the entire Dakshineswar – Kavi Subhash stretch as usual.
Shri Kausik Mitra, CPRO, Metro Railway has categorically clarified that this block is being taken on this weekend for regular track maintenance work causing the least inconvenience to the commuters. Metro piers on Kavi Subhash to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar stretch, i.e. the via-duct section are safe and fit for the Metro movement. Metro Railway authorities take all possible measures to ensure the safety of commuters while running the Metro. Shri Mitra has further requested the commuters not to pay any heed to any rumour that Metro piers, and pillars are unsafe and to co-operate with the Metro authorities during this track maintenance work.
